As a Master of Music graduate of Berklee College of Music, as well as a professor and tutor within the renowned Sound Recording and Music Technology program at Montgomery County Community College, education has become one of the most rewarding parts of my professional and creative journey.
In addition to my work in higher education, I also mentor and tutor students of all ages independently, helping them develop both the artistic and technical skills needed to bring their creative visions to life. One of the greatest joys I have found is witnessing that moment when a concept clicks, confidence grows, and a student begins to discover their own unique creative voice.
Drawing from years of experience as an artist, educator, producer, engineer, sound designer, and industry professional across multiple areas of the music business, including entertainment law and artist management, I strive to create a supportive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and lifelong growth.

Faculty Representative • Sound Recording & Music Technology Program
In August 2026, I had the privilege of joining SRT Program Director David Ivory as one of two faculty members accompanying 15 students for Montgomery County Community College’s inaugural Muscle Shoals Recording Residency.
Developed by Ivory, the four-day residency was the first program of its kind at Montco and represented a major expansion of the Sound Recording & Music Technology Program’s commitment to experiential learning. Students were immersed in two of the most historically significant studios in American music—Muscle Shoals Sound Studio snd FAME Recording Studios—where they participated in professional recording sessions alongside accomplished musicians, engineers, producers, and studio professionals.
Rather than simply observing, students became part of the recording process, applying their technical and musical skills, collaborating in real time, and experiencing firsthand how professional sessions operate. Montco Mass Media Production students also joined the residency to film and document the experience, creating an interdisciplinary collaboration across audio, music, filmmaking, and media production.
One of the most memorable moments came through when legendary keyboardist and songwriter Spooner Oldham joined one of our sessions, a key member of the Swampers, the legendary rhythm section that helped define the iconic Muscle Shoals sound. Students had the rare opportunity to learn directly from that history when Oldham played on an original song written by one of our students.
As a professor and faculty representative, my role was to support and guide students throughout the residency, help them navigate the professional studio environment, and connect what they were experiencing back to their classroom training.
What made the experience so meaningful was seeing music history become tangible. Students were learning inside the very studios and traditions they had studied, working alongside the people who continue that legacy while contributing creatively themselves.
The inaugural residency became a major milestone for Montco’s SRT Program and an extraordinary example of what can happen when education extends beyond the classroom. I was incredibly proud to be part of the faculty team and to watch our students grow in confidence, professionalism, musicianship, technical ability, and collaboration throughout the experience.
